Disclaimer

Please read this before relying on any figures from our calculators.

For Guidance Only

The calculators, figures, and written content on mynhstakehomecalculator.co.uk are provided for general information and guidance only. They are intended to give you a realistic estimate of NHS take-home pay and related entitlements — not a definitive or legally binding statement of what you will be paid.

Not Financial or Legal Advice

Nothing on this website constitutes financial, tax, pension, legal or employment advice, and it should not be relied upon as such. Decisions about your pension, opting in or out of schemes, salary sacrifice, additional voluntary contributions, or your wider finances can have long-term consequences. Before making such decisions you should speak to a suitably qualified professional — for example an independent financial adviser, an accountant, or your NHS payroll and pensions department.

Accuracy of Figures

We build our calculations from official primary sources (see our About page for the full list) and update them when new pay awards and tax-year figures are confirmed. However:

  • Your actual payslip depends on your specific tax code, pensionable pay, contracted hours, enhancements, salary sacrifice arrangements and other personal factors that a calculator cannot fully capture.
  • Pay awards, tax bands, National Insurance rates, pension tiers and student loan thresholds can change — sometimes mid-year and sometimes backdated.
  • We cannot guarantee that every figure is free from error or that it will exactly match the amount your employer pays you.

If a figure on this site differs from your payslip, your payslip and your NHS payroll department are the authoritative source — not this website.

No Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the information or calculations provided on this site. You use the site and its tools at your own risk.

External Links

Where we link to external websites (such as NHS Employers, GOV.UK or NHSBSA), we do so because we believe them to be useful and authoritative, but we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of those third-party sites.

Always Verify

For anything that matters financially, please confirm the figures with your NHS payroll department, the NHS Pensions service, or a qualified adviser before acting on them.
