My NHS Pay (mynhstakehomecalculator.co.uk) is a free, independent website providing NHS pay calculators and salary guides. This Privacy Policy explains what information we and our partners collect when you visit the site, how it is used, the cookies we use, the advertising on the site, and the choices and rights you have. Calculator inputs. The figures you enter into our calculators (band, hours, region, tax code, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser to produce your result. They are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.

Information collected automatically (server logs). Like almost all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system information, the pages you request, referring pages, and the date and time of access. This information can constitute personal data. We use it only for security (for example detecting and preventing abuse and fraud), diagnosing problems, and understanding aggregate site performance. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website.

Cookies and advertising data. We and our analytics and advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies that may collect data such as your IP address, device identifiers, approximate location, and your interactions with the site and with ads. This site displays advertising. Ads are delivered through Advergic (our advertising management partner, advergic.com) and its advertising partners, which include Google and other advertising networks and exchanges listed in our ads.txt file.

To serve and measure ads, these partners use cookies and similar technologies and may collect and process data such as your IP address, device and browser identifiers, approximate (non-precise) location, and your activity on this and other websites. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymised statistics about site usage. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as a truncated IP address and interaction events. We do not use it to identify individual visitors. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data. Data is processed by the third-party service providers we use to run the site and its advertising, namely:

  • Advergic and its advertising partners (including Google) — to serve, cap and measure ads (see Advertising above).
  • Google Analytics — for aggregated usage statistics.
  • Google Fonts — to serve the site’s typeface; Google may receive your IP address when fonts load.
  • Our hosting provider — which processes server logs on our behalf for security and performance.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.

Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Server logs are typically retained for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
  • Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration (generally up to 14 months) in aggregated form.
  • Advertising cookies are retained for the periods set by each advertising partner, as described in their own privacy policies; you can delete them at any time via your browser.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data held about you; request correction or erasure; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent); and data portability. Because we do not hold accounts or directly identify visitors, we may need additional information to locate any data before acting on a request.
